Council launches new web pages to help residents and businesses through the recession PDF Print E-mail

The current recession is a worrying time for both businesses and residents in Brent.

Brent Council is here to help and support you by offering a variety of advice from finding housing, the benefits you may be entitled to and details on free local leisure activities.

To make it quicker and simpler for people to get the information they need the council has added new pages on its award winning website.

The new pages, found at http://www.brent.gov.uk/recession have links to a wealth of information including a benefits calculator to make sure you are getting the money you are entitled to, details on jobs and training, housing and business help and free local leisure activities and festivals.

There are also links to council tax benefit information, pension credits and Age Concern benefits checker, business advice and details on free swimming in the borough.

Cllr Paul Lorber, Leader of Brent Council, said:
"We understand that this can be a difficult time for our residents and local businesses. These new web pages have been designed to offer a quick one stop information point for people to go to and get the information and help they need fast. These pages will be updated regularly with the latest information as we have it."
